Sheriff's deputies in Lee County found an unresponsive woman at the home of a Keokuk teacher who is the subject of lawsuits that accuse her of having sexual relationships with students.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the 2544 Hilton Road home of Gina Sisk.

They found the unidentified, unresponsive woman on the floor.

“The 45-year-old victim had been assaulted and was transported to Keokuk Area Hospital and was treated and later released,” according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Scott Bonar would not confirm Thursday whether Sisk was the victim. The deputy would only say that the woman was found at Sisk's address. It's unclear whether Sisk lives alone at the house.

Neighbors believe Sisk was the victim and said her partner, who she lives with, was the one who found her on Tuesday.

No arrests have been made.

Sisk is the subject of three lawsuits filed by two students at separate Iowa schools.

The lawsuits say that Sisk carried out inappropriate relationships with the students identified as Jane Doe and Jane Doe II.

A 20-year-old former Keokuk High School student is suing the district and Sisk claiming she was sexually abused for about two years beginning in 2009. Sisk was also a track coach.

The lawsuit also names the school district and former Keokuk High School Principal Michelle Lukavsky as defendants.

A New London School District student also has two pending lawsuits in Henry County Iowa.

The eight-count lawsuit accuses Sisk of assault and battery, sexual abuse and other charges.

Sisk was placed on administrative leave from the district after the initial lawsuit was filed.

A message left Thursday with Sisk's Des Moines, Iowa-based attorney Alfredo Parrish has not been returned.
