QUINCY, ILL. -- The Phoenix Night Club in Quincy was busy getting the place ready for patrons to bring in the new year.

Owner Steve Homan said workers spent an hour and a half blowing up 2013 balloons that will drop at midnight.

He said he has his bartenders be on the lookout for patrons who've had too much to drink.

The club offers rides home to customers who are too impaired to drive.

"We want everyone to ring in 2013 safely and come party with us," Homan said. "We want everybody to get home safely also."

Homan said he expected at least 450 people to turn out to The Phoenix Night Club New Year's Eve night.
