MACON, MO. -- The Macon County Sheriff's office says deputies have apprehended an inmate who didn't return from a doctor's appointment Friday.

A judge had ordered Vicente Soto, 25, of Kirksville be released at noon to go to see a doctor in Kirksville.

The suspect was picked up at the jail by his mother and was supposed to be back by five Friday afternoon but never returned.

Macon authorities say a tip was received from a member of the community around 3:30 p.m. Saturday that a man was walking along the railroad tracks near the community of Elmer. Macon deputies responded to the area and apprehended Soto.

Soto was arrested late last month after he allegedly stole a stretch limousine from a Kirksville business and led authorities on a high-speed chase through three counties.
