ADAMS COUNTY, ILL. -- A rural Adams County home under construction burned to the ground Sunday night.

A state fire marshal on scene Monday said it will be almost impossible to pin down the cause.

Emergency responders from the Camp Point, Central Adams and Liberty Fire Departments were called to the home on the Kellerville Blacktop around 9 p.m.

Owners Brian and Shawn Hodges live near the construction site. They had invested a year of construction on the home for Brian's mother.

The home was insured and the Hodges plan to rebuild.
