QUINCY, ILL. -- It's been one year since the deadliest tornado in U.S. history ripped through Joplin, Mo.

As soon as the twister lifted off the ground, people from all over the country started helping those who needed it. One of those men was Quincy Ald. Jim Musilino.

In all he made nine trips to Joplin, each time bringing more supplies with him.

Supplies that were mostly donated from the Tri-State community.

While there, he adopted a few families to help get them get back on their feet.

He says he hasn't been back since October, but he knows the community has made great strides in recovering, but also knows Joplin is a long way from where it used to be.

"I'm not finished," Jim Musilino said. "I still have three families down there. It's a mom and several children. They are still working on getting most of their things back together."

Musilino says he's still collecting gift cards and money that he'll take down the next time he goes.

If you'd like to donate, you can contact Jim at 653-6084.
