Power outages reported throughout the Tri-States

More than 18,000 Illinois and Missouri Ameren customers are currently without power.

The outages come as the Tri-States is experiencing its first major snow storm of the season.

In Illinois, about 895 customers in Adams County, 5,803 in Pike County and 2,566 in Morgan County are currently without power.

Crews are working to restore service as roads are becoming perilous to travel.

In Missouri, where about 6,000 people are currently without service, Audrain and Pike counties are reporting 3,897 and 1,667 customers without power respectively.

A transformer explosion leveled some power lines causing outages in Hannibal today near the Ayerco at 4121 Market St.
