Could be a sign of things to come this spring

HANNIBAL, MO. -- Minor flooding of the Mississippi River at Hannibal and Louisiana is expected this weekend.

That's according the National Weather Service.

Moderate  flooding because of warmer temperatures and snow melt has already been reported at the Cuivre River in Troy, Grand River near Chillicothe, Missouri.

No significant amounts are expected but the Weather Service predicts a higher than normal risk of moderate to major flooding this spring throughout the upper Mississippi River Valley.
