PAYSON, ILL. -- The Camp Point Central school district's loss will be the Payson school district's gain.

Donna Veile has accepted the superintendent's job at Payson.  She has been the Junior High principal at Camp Point since 2006.

Veile will replace Rodger Hannel.  He has announced his retirement effective June 30.

Hannel also serves at the superintendent for the Western school district.  There is no word on who will take that job, although Western school board president David Motley told Carol Sowers today that he should have an announcement regarding that position "within days".

Veile ran for Adams-Pike Regional Superintendent of Schools in the November 2010 election.  Debbie Niederhauser won that seat.
