Teams bring home a 2nd and 3rd place trophy from regional competition

A pair of cheerleading squads from Clark County competed at the Battle of the Behemoth in Cedar Rapids on Sunday and brought home two trophies. The Fear the Spear All-Stars, comprised of 5th graders through high school seniors, took home 2nd place in their division. A second team, the Junior Indian Cheerleaders, comprised of 5th and 6th graders, took home 3rd place in their division. The teams were the only two out-of-state teams to compete at the event. Both squads are self-sufficient and not associated with the Clark County school system; they raise their own funds, allowing them to travel and compete. The two teams are coached by Tisha Gregory and Heidi Walker.
