Quincy, Ill. - The following news release was received from the Quincy Tree Commission on Monday, April 13, 2009: 

"Prestigious Commercial Landscape Award" is the name of an approved program adopted by the Quincy Tree Commission.  The Commission wanted to award a commercial business that followed Landscaping Ordinance 29.609 of the City Code Book.

Applications can be picked up from Central Services Department - Room 105 located at 2020 Jennifer Road.  The awards will be given in June, July and August.  The award is a beautifully designed plaque for the winner to keep and a movable banner that will be displayed at the business for a month. 

The award is designed to expose commercial property owners taking care of their landscaping in a professional manner.  The Quincy Tree Commission encourages new or old commercial businesses to pick up an application at Central Services - 2020 Jennifer Road.  For more information call (217) 228-4557.
