Friday was the first day of the Quincy Fall Tree Planting Program. It goes until the end of October.

Residents and business owners can buy a tree to plant on the City's Right-of-Way, between the street and sidewalk.

This year the trees are supplied by Frese's nursery.

There are several types available and you can request which kind you'd like.

There are 80 trees available on a first come first serve basis.

If you buy a tree, you are responsible for the watering and up-keep.

If you're interested, trees can be bought for 30 dollars at the Central Services Department.
