QUINCY, ILL. -- Quincy fire crews have contained a camper fire that began Tuesday morning near Shelts Lane and N. 24th Street in Quincy. Fire Chief Joe Henning says the camper's owner set a fire in a container for warmth inside the home. Soon after, a gush of wind carried the fire and ignited both the camper and a trailer nearby.

The owner was not hurt. The Red Cross has arrived on scene to assist the owner at this time.

Chief Henning says the plot of land that the camper sits on is owned by Catherine Shelt.
