QUINCY, ILL. -- A group of Quincy locals has postponed its medical mission trip to Haiti this month.

You'll recall the group raised funds for its trip by selling 2 by 4's around the Quincy area, materials that would be used to build homes in Haiti.

Volunteer Mark Lawrence said the group had prepared to leave on the 15th of January, but a tainted Haitian election last week has caused violent outbreaks among the locals.

The group has rescheduled to leave for March 26th, well after a second Haitian election scheduled a week from today.
