QUINCY, ILL. -- The hottest items in store this week are generators and chain saws as Tri-States residents continue to manage without power and storms debris.

Farm and Home Supply staff in Quincy were in overdrive mode Tuesday afternoon with dozens of customers coming in every hour for electric equipment. The store has brought in extra truck loads of generators already.

If you plan on installing a back up generator, you must notify your electric company. There is also a right and wrong way to use a generator. Visit Ameren's site here for precaution to take when hooking one up for your home or business.

Not all power was back on Tuesday. Almost half of Adams County is still without power. You can visit Ameren's outage site for expected dates and times your power should come back.
