After a beautiful Christmas Day in the upper Midwest, we are looking at a fast moving system overnight that could bring some areas sleet.

As rain moves into parts of the region from the South Monday night, we are looking for an area of sleet to form from about Quincy, south to the bootheel of Missouri.  This area of sleet will be light here in our region but as you get towards St. Louis and south in the I-55 area you could see some greater amounts.

So, while no major issues are expected here in the Tri-State area ... if you are planning overnight or early morning travel, you may want to push back that trip for a few hours on Tuesday.

By mid-morning on Tuesday look for all to be gone and for the 40's to work their way back into the region, with Quincy expecting 40 for a high on Tuesday and St.Louis looking at around 45.

This system will be a distant memory as the upper 40's and lower 50's are expected to spread across the region by late in this work week.
