A Northeast Missouri man has got a golden ticket to American Idol stardom.

During recent auditions in St. Louis, Jared Keim got the go-ahead from judges to go to the next round of performances in Hollywood!

Keim's journey to Idol began last year when his sister began a Facebook effort to get him to try out. Keim agreed to attend American Idol tryouts if he got 2,000 votes on the facebook group.

He reached that goal and went to the auditions. The rest is history.
