HANNIBAL, MO. -- Some bittersweet news for a Tri-State American Idol contestant.

Northeast Missouri man Jared Keim was made it all the way to the group competition in Hollywood.  Unfortunately he was eliminated with his group on Wednesday night's show.

But he has a lot to be proud of - he was one of the 180 finalists out of more than 112 thousand contestants.

He tells Facebook friends it was an amazing experience and that he learned a lot about himself.

Keim appreciates all the support he's gotten from folks back here in the Tri-States.
