Two Ft. Madison men are in custody after they were arrested on armed robbery charges in connection with a residential break-in.

Adam James Huss and Akeem Trotter are charged with first-degree robbery and escape from custody.

The arrests stem from a complaint received about 10:15 p.m. Sunday. Two men entered a home in the 2100 block of Avenue E with a handgun and took a wallet from the home.

Both men were taken to the Lee County Correction Center pending a court appearance.

Police in Ft. Madison are still searching for a suspected wanted in a Monday-morning armed robbery at the Cigarette Outlet in the 1700 block of Avenue H.

The man brandished a knife to a clerk and fled after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately five feet, 11 inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie and a white baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
