The cold snap of the past weekend will soon be a distant memory as much warmer air moves into the region along with the threat of severe weather.

After several days of below average temperatures, the region will soon be in for a period of above average temperatures.

As temperatures are expected to work their way up through the 80s this week, the instability will also increase our risk for severe weather.

At this time, it appears that the risk for storms is great enough each day this week to include it in your entire outlook with the greatest chances for severe weather on Tuesday and Thursday night.

Our "normal" or "average" daytime high for this week is around 68 degrees and although that number will be in the forecast, it will likely be our overnight low.
