HANCOCK COUNTY, ILL. -- The former Hamilton school board member guilty of sexually abusing a minor learned his fate Friday.

A judge sentenced 44-year-old August Dion Gregory to 24 months probation and 60 days in the Hancock County jail.

He also must register as a sex offender. 

A judge found Gregory guilty of the crime in March.

He's been living in Iowa up until today's sentencing.

Gregory resigned from the Hamilton School Board following his arrest last year.
