The trial of the Calhoun County sheriff will move to Cass County.
Sheriff Bill Heffington was indicted in September on charges of official misconduct and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with his actions during a July board of commissioners meeting.
Details of what happened during the closed session has not been disclosed by officials, but records show that the board discussed an invoice for a sheriff's office vehicle.
The Calhoun County Circuit Clerk said that attorneys and the judge in the case will discuss Heffington's next court date during a Wednesday conference call.
