Fire located near Lover's Leap

HANNIBAL, MO. -- Hannibal Fire crews are on the scene of a brush fire.

According the Hannibal Fire Department, the fire is 200 feet long and located in the area of the old amphitheater at the bottom of Lover's Leap.

Eyewitnesses we spoke to say that smoke covered the south side of Main in downtown Hannibal.

10 firefighters assisted at the scene.

Train traffic through the area was briefly stopped as a safety precaution for the firefighters.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
