Man arrested after 2 month investigation

PIKE COUNTY, ILL. -- A Louisiana, Mo. man is wanted in a series of burglaries in Pike County Ill.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Isaiah Hoskins on multiple counts of theft over $500.

The burglaries occurred over a two month period from Sept. 17 through Oct. 29.

Thousands of dollars in property including tools, an air compressor, batteries, a motorcycle, horse saddles and a Caterpillar tractor bucket were stolen over that time.

Law enforcement from both Pike counties conducted a traffic stop and questioned the 31-year-old who lives in Louisiana, Mo.

Officers found some of the stolen property is his vehicle, according to a press release.

They also recovered the the motorcycle, some of the tools and Caterpillar tractor bucket.

Many of the items had been sold for scrap metal.

Hoskins was released after questioning and a warrant was later issued for his arrest. He has not been taken to jail.

His bond will be set at $250,000.
