Privately owned hospitals will get annual

ILLINOIS (AP) -- Illinois lawmakers are apparently not too happy that in these tight financial times, at 10 million dollars a year will be going to a tax break for some hospitals in the state.

The tax credit for investor owned hospitals was passed as part of deal to help save the state's  Medicaid program, but apparently no one noticed it.

Some lawmakers are still trying to figure out how for profit hospitals got such a big break at a time when the state is struggling financially.
