Missouri's firearms deer season will continue until November 25th.

Illinois' firearms season will run November 21-23 and December 4-7.

And Iowa's shotgun deer season runs December 6-10 and December 13-21.

Here's a scary fact for drivers - fatalities from vehicle crashes with deer and other animals have more than doubled during the last 15 years.

A highway safety group study reports 499 people died in such crashes from 1993 through 2007.

Sixty-nine of those deaths were in Missouri, five of them last year.

The worst time of the year for deer crashes is now -- breeding season.
