From show tunes to marches

QUINCY, IL -- From show tunes to marches, a broad variety of music could be heard inside Quincy Junior High School's Morrison Theater.

The Quincy Concert Band opened up their season with a fall concert Sunday afternoon.

Under the direction of William DeMont, the band performed musical styles that appealed to all types of audience members.

The program included several orchestral arrangements.

The group touts some talent.

QCB member William Camphouse shared his own arrangement, a tribute to Lewis and Clark.

Volunteers make up the concert band, including KHQA's Justen Arnold andAlexis Hunt.
