Illinois State Police must obey the speed limit

Need to ask permission before driving more than 30 m.p.h.
(AP) -- Illinois State troopers responding to emergencies have to call a supervisor before driving more than 30 miles over the speed limit under new policy changes.
Director Larry Trent says the changes come in response to a high speed crash where a trooper's cruiser killed two Collinsville sisters a year ago.
