HANNIBAL, MO. -- KHQA spoke with Lisa Marks this morning.

She and her husband, Ken, are leasing the mansion at least through January 4, 2010.

She told KHQA they still are interested in buying Rockcliffe, and they're working every day to try to put together a deal.

In the meantime, the Marks' are keeping the mansion open for tours, special events, and as a bed and breakfast.

KHQA also spoke with Beau Hicks from the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau.

He told KHQA that just yesterday, a local realtor confirmed that a Florida couple still is interested in buying Rockcliffe, too.

That husband and wife, the Gillettes, have told Hicks in the past they do not plan to keep the mansion open for daily tours.

Instead, they will fully renovate and restore it, and make it available for special events and tourism opportunities.

The Gillettes also had expressed interest in buying Sawyers Creek.

That attraction south of Hannibal is set to go on the auction block next week.
