QUINCY, ILL. -- KHQA received an e-mail from a viewer, asking about some reported concerns with engines that are used in Cape Air planes.

Cape Air is the new carrier in and out of Quincy Regional Airport.

KHQA spoke with Cape Air's Director of Communications.

She said the FAA recently issued what is called an air worthiness directive about an engine part in the Cessna planes flown by Cape Air.

She compared that directive to a recall from a car manufacturer.

Because Cape Air flies more Cessnas than anyone else in the world, she says the company was well aware of the problem before the FAA issued its directive, and fixed the problems on its planes more than a month ago.
