It wasn't exactly a high-speed impact, but a car crashed into a northeast Missouri convenience store after the woman pushing the out-of-gas vehicle, and her husband in the driver's seat, couldn't stop it.

HANNIBAL, MO. (AP) -- No one was hurt in the incident Sunday night at Abel's Quik Shop in Hannibal.

The Hannibal Courier-Post reported the car was out of gas, so a woman pushed the car to the station while her 49-year-old husband was behind the wheel.

The man told authorities he was unable to stop the car, which struck the front sliding doors of the store.

The building had extensive damage.

The man was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance and no valid driver's license.
