AUDRAIN COUNTY (AP) -- A northeast Missouri woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of a a 20-year-old Ohio man in the basement of her home.
Audrain County's prosecutor filed charges today against 34-year-old Angela Harvey of Laddonia, whose husband and stepson are linked to the case.
A probable cause statement says Harvey admitted Wednesday to her role in killing James William Boyd McNeely. His body was found last week in the trailer of a semi owned by Harvey's husband, Chester Harvey Jr.
According to the statement, Harvey said she, her husband and another man talked by phone Dec. 16 about ensuring McNeely wouldn't come back to harm them.
Angela Harvey said she kicked and threatened McNeely and instructed her husband how to suffocate him and wrap the body to minimize evidence.
