QUINCY, ILL. -- The following is a press release from Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois:

"Big Brothers Big Sisters provides a wonderful mentoring program for young children and their families in both of our communities.

The first annual I-72 Shootout scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13 at the JHS Bowl in Jacksonville will be a terrific event to kick off awareness of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in both cities.

Each year, the event will rotate depending upon basketball schedules.

The event was created to formalize the friendly rivalry between the two cities and help support Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois.
