QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Police Department recently issued two citations for violations of the Smoke-Free Illinois Act.

Police cited Hard Rock Saloon owner Linda Hardy twice for failing to ensure a smoke-free environment.

She received the first citation February 28th, and her second last week.

Hardy paid a $250.00 fine for the first violation. The second case is still pending.

The Quincy Police Department has received 44 complaints of smoking in and/or on business properties since the smoking ban went into effect January 1st, 2008.
