The Mississippi River in Hannibal has now gone below 15 feet, following a drop of 0.53 of a foot in the past 24 hours. As of 1 p.m. the river stage was 14.87 feet.

Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Kirksville for a Macon man convicted of involuntary manslaughter. An Adair County jury in March convicted 27-year-old Lucas Summers of first degree involuntary manslaughter, second degree assault and first degree burglary.
