Former Moberly banker arrested for bank robbery 

One of the most wanted men in Missouri used to work at Commerce Bank in Moberly. 58-year-old John David Farnell of Fulton was captured this week following a string of six suspected bank robberies in the past 13 months.

Cleaning up the square after a Friday night

The first two Saturdays of the month at 7 a.m. Centerville Rotary Club members comb the Square looking for debris left over from the night before.

Collision injures one driver

Donna E. Reich, 56, of Bowling Green, suffered minor injuries in a collision at 6:45 p.m. Friday, April 30, in rural Pike County. She was taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.

Park District Board to meet Tuesday to address vandalism at Wavering pool 

The Quincy Park District Board of Commissioners will hold an emergency meeting at 7 a.m. Tuesday to review bids for repairs resulting from vandalism to the slide at Wavering Aquatic Center.

The Quincy City Council closes the books on one fiscal year and begins another today. The Council has a meeting at 2 p.m. with a minimal agenda.

Press conference on Benjamin Backstrom death set for 2 p.m. 

A press conference on the investigation into the death of Benjamin Backstrom will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Warren County Courthouse in Indianola. The 19-year-old Drake University student died last week.  Investigators have been treating the death as a homicide.
