QUINCY, ILL. -- The following is a press release from David M. Kent, Director of Utilities for the City of Quincy, Illinois:

An immediate interruption in water service will occur to the consumers in the following areas:

Kentucky Street (9th to 12th)

10th Street (York to State)

11th Street (Kentucky to State)

This will be for a 3-4 hour duration in order to repair a water main located on 9th and Kentucky.

Once service has been restored, a 48-hour boild order will be in effect.
