PLYMOUTH, ILL. -- How far would you go to support a good cause?

One Illinois man is taking the ride of his life on a bike, from coast to coast.

Chris Hanson's a 20-year army veteran who's seen cancer strike too close to home.

That's why he's cycling his way across country to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Monday, he stopped in Plymouth for a fundraiser at Pop A Top.

In honor of his grandfather who lost his battle with cancer and the research that saved his mother's life, Hanson wants to pay it forward.
