Iowa's US Senate candidates report large donations

DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Iowa's U.S. Senate race continues to draw big money, with Democrat Roxanne Conlin and Republican Charles Grassley reporting large donations to their campaigns.
   
In her latest financial disclosure, Conlin reported raising about $640,000 in the second quarter of the year. She has about $850,000 cash on hand.
   
Grassley, who is seeking his sixth term, reported donations of about $630,000 with reserves of $5.7 million.
   
In other high-profile races, 2nd Congressional District Republican nominee Mariannette Miller-Meeks reported having roughly $100,000 in reserves. In the 3rd District, Republican nominee Brad Zaun also had about $100,000 in reserves.
   
Reports weren't available Thursday for Democratic incumbent Reps. Dave Loebsack and Leonard Boswell.
