Drug arrests made in Monmouth, Illinois

MONMOUTH, ILL. -- The following is a press release from the West Central Illinois Task Force and Monmouth Police Department:

On July 9, 2010, the West Central Illinois Task Force and Monmouth Police Department received a tip from the Warren County Sheriff's Office. The information led the Task Force and the Warren County State's Attorney's Office to obtain search warrants for 1016 South B Street, Monmouth and 819 South D Street, Monmouth.

The West Central Illinois Task Force and Monmouth Police Department executed the search warrants, with the assistance of the Illinois States Police, the Warren County Sheriff's Office, and the Metropolitan Enforcement Group (Peoria-MEG).

A follow up search was also executed at 202 Henderson Road, Knoxville, IL.

During the investigation, Agents recovered $9412 United State's Currency, approximately 3 oz. of crack cocaine, approximately 34.5 oz. of powder cocaine, approximately 8.5 oz.  of cannibis, approximately 7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and approximately 12.5 oz. of crystal methamphetamine.

As a result of the search warrants Mark E Liby (2/17/68) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver; James D. Liby (9/14/80) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver; Rober L. Liby (8/30/75) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver; and Christina M. Holeman (11/23/76) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. All four subjects were lodged at the Warrent County Jail.

The Task Force, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the U.S. Attorney's Office are continuing to investigate this matter.
