CAIRO, MO. -- An out of state fugitive, who had eluded area law enforcement on two occasions, is now in custody.
Christopher Holcomb, 30, a fugitive wanted in the states of Louisiana and Georgia, was taken into custody following a search, after he was spotted in Randolph County. Highway patrol officials say Holcomb was arrested while hiding in a brush pile in a cornfield near Cairo Missouri, about 2:15 Tuesday afternoon.
Highway Patrol aircraft and helicopters were utilized again Tuesday in the search before the suspect was taken into custody. Holcomb is wanted for a Louisiana probation and parole warrant, and another warrant issued by Georgia for drugs and assault.
