HANNIBAL, MO. -- On Tuesday, August 10th WQEC/PBS Quincy will host a visit by PBS Kids’ Super Why, star of The Reading Adventures of Super WHY at the Hannibal Free Public Library at 10:30 a.m. There will be a story time and children will have the opportunity to meet Super Why. Cameras are welcome.
WQEC/PBS Director of Education, Sue Lovdahl says “This event is another way for WQEC to promote literacy and a love for books.”
The Reading Adventures of Super Why first aired in 2007 and is an animated program aimed at children ages 3 to 6. It teaches critical reading skills such as the alphabet, spelling, pronunciation, writing, phonics and word usage. The program airs on WQEC/PBS Quincy Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m.
