MACOMB, ILL. -- UPDATE: August 9 at 4:28 p.m.

A semi rollover caused police to tempararily close US route 34 just east of Biggsville Monday morning.

It took crews about an hour to clean up the mess.

The driver lost control in a construction zone.

No one was hurt.

The following information was received from Illinois State Police at 10:56 a.m.:

The Illinois State Police is advising motorists of a temporary road closure due to a truck-tractor semi-trailer rollover crash. Both lanes of U.S. Route 34 approximately 0.3 of a mile east of Biggsville are currently completely closed.

Recovery crews are currently working to upright the overturned semi and open the roadway. The estimated time of the expected duration of the road closure is about one hour. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes of travel and avoid the area.  The crash remains under investigation at this time.
