QUINCY, ILL. -- The following is a press release from David M. Kent, Director of Utilities for the City of Quincy, Illinois:

A boil order has been issued for the following areas.

In order to replace an inoperable gate valve a water service interruption has been scheduled to Tuesday, August 10 from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for residents from 24th to 27th and Maine and Park Plaza in Quincy, Ill.

Once service has been restored, a 48-hour boil order will be in effect.
