Better yield than 2009 expected
This could be a winning year for U.S. corn and soybean farmers.
WASHINGTON, D.C. --
The U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts the farmers are on track to produce one of the largest crops in history.
Production of both corn and soybeans is expected to beat last year's output by 2 percent.
That works about to be about 12.4 billion bushels of corn and 3.43 billion bushels of soybeans.
Product of cotton and wheat is also expected to be better this year than in 2009.
