JACKSONVILLE, ILL. -- UPDATED: September 17 at 12:11 p.m.

The reward continues to increase in trying to find out who killed Diann Hoagland on August 18th.

At first there was $2,000 being offered for information in connection to the murder that happened as Diann Hoagland came home from her daily walk at her house near Alexander.

Now a Jacksonville man has donated $5,000 to the reward and a family friend of the Hoaglin's has donated an additional $500.

The Morgan County sheriff's Department continues to investigate the case.

There's now at least a $2000 reward being offered for any tip that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murder of a Morgan County Illinois woman last month.

The Cass County Illinois Crimestoppers says they're offering the reward.

Tips can be sent in to Cass County Crimestoppers at 1-888-222-4150.

Meanwhile the Morgan-Scott County Crimestoppers are also offering a reward for any tip that is submitted to their hotline at 243-7300 or website.

Diann Hoagland was shot and killed just outside her home near Alexandria Illinois on August 18th.

So far, police are checking leads and continuing to investigate.
