QUINCY, ILL. -- Breast Cancer survivors and women fighting the disease enjoyed a day of encouragement and healing Tuesday.

It was all part of the Blessing Cancer Center's eighth annual Community Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Women were able to enjoy educational booths and motivational speakers.

Organizers hope women take away the importance of prevention and early detection through screenings.

This year, the emphasis is on spiritual healing.

Ester Nicholson, motivational speaker and singer, said, "If we can heal the turmoil; if we can heal those erroneous beliefs of separation from our spirit; if we can heal the unforgiveness and fear and all of that, it's the most important healing we can do."
