A Garfield comic strip is causing controversy this Veterans Day. 

At our sister station WPBN TV in Traverse City, Michigan had a viewer call in about the comic and the timing of it being in newspapers on a day when Veterans are honored for their sacrifice.

We cannot show the comic for fear of breaking copyright laws, however click here to go to their website.

Apparently it wasn't just one person concerned about the comic, artist Jim Davis released this statement:

The Garfield comic strip was also published in Thursday's Quincy Herald-Whig.
