A Macon County Missouri cattle farmer is in trouble Friday after being indicted on several federal charges of wire fraud, mail fraud and lying to the FBI.

Steven Fink was indicted following an investigation that dated back 2009.

Allegedly, Fink agreed to raise cattle at his farm for other farmers. This process is called "backgrounding," where he would feed the cattle and provide vaccinations and then the customers would pay for these services.

Some of the cattle that were sent to Fink died costing 5 farmers to lose 750 thousand dollars.
