QUINCY, ILL. -- The Angel Tree distribution is taking place on Thursday, December 16th, and the deadline for gifts to be turned in to The Salvation Army is Monday, December 13th, although it would be appreciated if Angel Tree gifts were turned in as soon as possible.

At this time, there are still 175 tags left on the trees at the Quincy Mall and Wal-Mart for gifts to be purchased for children.

Those who have outstanding angel tags and gifts should take them to The Salvation Army at 732 Hampshire in Quincy.  The office is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Each angel tag represents a child in need in our community.
