Canton, Missouri man arrested for assault

MONTICELLO, MO. -- UPDATE: December 15 at 4:55 p.m.

The man who was sent to Blessing Hospital following a disturbance at the Lewis County jail in Monticello earlier this week has been released from the hospital.

You might recall Gregory Walker and Isaiah Eatmon were involved in the disturbance Monday night at the jail.

At one time, Walker was in critical condition.

No word yet, if any charges will be filed.

A late night fight in the Lewis County, Missouri jail put an inmate in critical condition.

Members of the Lewis County Sheriff's office responded to an incident in the jail shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Deputies say 25-year-old Isaiah Cary Eatmon of Canton, Missouri allegedly assaulted another inmate, 26-year-old Gregory Walker of Wayland, Missouri.

Walker was taken by ambulance, then Air Evac helicopter to an area hospital.

He is listed in critical condition.

Eatmon is now charged with first degree assault, on top of the second degree assault charge by the Canton Police Department on December 13, 2010.

He was on a 24-hour hold pending the police department's request for an arrest warrant when the incident took place in the Lewis County jail.
